Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernandez bounced back Saturday at Palenque de la Feria, Aguascalientes, Mexico, Saturday stopping Daniel Lugo for the WBA Continental Latin America and WBC World Super Featherweight title eliminator in seven rounds over DAZN. Promoter Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Boxing) also presented in the Co-Main Event WBA World Super Bantam title fight between champion Erika Cruz Hernandez and Nazarena Romero ended in split draw.
In the Main Event Super Featherweight ‘Rocky’ Hernandez, 35-2 (32), #129.9, of Mexico City, MEX, stopped Daniel Lugo, 27-3-1 (18), #129.5, of Hermosillo, Sonora, MEX, at 2:17 of the seventh round of a scheduled 12 rounds.
In the first two rounds Hernandez out worked Lugo. In the third round Hernandez was bleeding from the nose and Lugo from the mouth. In the fourth round Lugo fought back well enough to take the round.
In the fifth round Hernandez used right uppercuts and left hooks taking the round. In the sixth round a left hook followed by a right from Hernandez on the chin rocked Lugo midway.
In the seventh round Hernandez never stopped punching while Lugo had nothing in return forcing Referee Alejandro Lomeli to call a halt.
In the Co-Main Event WBA World Super Bantamweight champ Erika ‘Dinamita’ Cruz, 17-2-1 (3), #121.1, of Mexico City, MEX, ended in split draw with Nazarena ‘Capricho’ Romero, 13-0-2 (7), #121.5, of Cordoba, ARG, over 10 rounds.
After two close rounds at the end of the third round Cruz rocked Romero at the bell with a solid left to the head. In the fourth round Cruz started fast but Romero came back well in the second half of the round.
In the sixth through the eighth rounds Cruz held a slight edge outworking Romero. In the ninth Cruz went to the body with lefts taking the round. In the tenth and final round Cruz had Romero bleeding from both the nose and mouth with both scoring well.

Super Lightweight Randy Leon, 14-0-2 (7), #140.3, of Mexico City, MEX, ended in a majority draw with former FECARBOX Lightweight champ Misael Cabera, 15-2-1 (11), #139.8, of Ciudad Obregon, MEX, 10 rounds.
In the first round it took Cabera almost two minutes to land a solid punch, a right on the chin of Leon.
With twenty seconds remaining a lead right from Cabera on the chin and down went Leon for an 8-count from Referee Alejandro Lomeli. In the second and third rounds Leon out landed and outworked Cabera.
In the fifth rounds final minute Leon drew blood from the nose of Cabera with a combination. In the sixth round Leon dominated for the most part.
In the seventh round Leon took the first half before Cabera came back well in the final minute. In the eighth round Cabera came out southpaw dominating Leon before turning back to orthodox in the final minute.
In the ninth round again Cabera out landed Leon for two minutes before it was Leon taking the final minute. In the tenth and final round Cabera seemed to have a slight edge.
Scores ended in a majority draw.
The 19 year-old Lightweight southpaw Criztec Bazaldua, 5-0 (1), #136.5, of So. Central, Los Angeles, CA, won close decision over game Luis Fernando Ruiz, 5-1 (3), #134.4, of Reynosa, MEX, over 6 rounds.
In the first round for the most part the aggressive Ruiz out worked southpaw Bazaldua who was countering him. In the second round Ruiz came out landing five unanswered punches. Bazaldua did his best in the last half minute but not enough.
In the third and fourth rounds the taller Bazaldua did enough to win two close rounds punching down on Ruiz who used his head at times.
In the fifth round Ruiz was throwing overhand lead rights to the head and getting inside to the body of Bazaldua who only fought back in spurts. In the sixth and final round it was close with Ruiz close to exhaustion walking away toward his corner seconds remaining. Referee Gustavo Viramontes warning both about rough tactics.

Super Lightweight Leonardo Rubalcava, 7-0 (3), #138.3, of Teocaltiche, Jalisco, MEX, Jurupa Valley, CA, stopped Roberto Nevarez, 4-1 (3), #139.4, of Aguascalientes, MEX, after 3 rounds of a scheduled 4 rounds.
In the first two rounds Rubalcava had Nevarez all busted up with his right eye near closed and a bloody nose. In the third round Nevarez kept coming forward for the most part running into punches from Rubalcava who delivered right crosses followed by left hooks to the face.
