Junior welterweight Batyrzhan Jukembayev will face Ivan Redkach on May 22 in the main event of Wednesday Night Fights on ProBox TV. The bout is set to headline a night of 50-50 fights, beginning at 8 PM EST.
Jukembayev (22-1, 16 KOs), is currently on a four-fight win streak, with two of those victories secured on ProBox TV. Originally hailing from Shu, Kazakhstan, Jukembayev is aiming for the most significant win of his career. His sole defeat came at the hands of IBF junior welterweight champion Subriel Matias.
Redkach (24-6-1, 19 KOs), now resides in Los Angeles, California, though he is originally from Ukraine. A seasoned veteran, Redkach returned to the ring last July after a two-year hiatus. Having previously faced top-tier opponents such as Regis Prograis and Danny Garcia without securing a victory, Redkach is determined to alter his fortunes against Jukembayev.
The co-feature will spotlight a junior lightweight contest between Jonhatan Cardoso (16-1, 15 KOs) of São Paulo, Brazil, and Adam “Blunose” Lopez (17-5, 6 KOs) of Glendale, California, set for 10 rounds in a potential thriller.
Additionally, junior welterweight Charles Harris (8-1, 7 KOs) will continue his comeback journey against Kyle Erwin (7-1, 3 KOs) of Oceanside, California. Both fighters, with similar records, are looking to solidify their positions in the division.
The event will open with cruiserweight Adrian Tillman making his professional debut against undefeated Jayleen Bullock (1-0, 1 KO) of Wilson, North Carolina, in a four-round contest.
Wednesday Night Fights will be available in both English and Spanish, featuring commentary and analysis from former world champions Paulie Malignaggi, Chris Algieri, and Juan Manuel Márquez. For more information on upcoming live events, visit ProBoxTV.com.
