This Saturday night’s DAZN card, headlined by young star Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez and WBC super flyweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada, will have an equally interesting undercard at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Sunny Edwards’ Return to the Ring
Edwards (20-1, 4 KOs), the former IBF flyweight champion, returns to the ring after taking his first career defeat against Bam Rodriguez last December. On the undercard, he will face former IBF light flyweight champion Adrian Curiel (24-5-1, 5 KOs) in a twelve-round contest.
Sunny, 28, will be looking to bounce back from his loss to Bam by defeating Curiel and looking impressive in doing so on the card. Many fans will be seeing Sunny for the first time, making it important for him to shine in this fight.
If the British fighter Edwards is victorious and looks good in this highly visible contest, it could lead to bigger things. Despite his loss, Edwards is ranked highly at 112, rated #3 WBC and #4 IBF.
That’s another reason why it’s vital that Sunny wins on Saturday and shines in the process by putting on a masterclass performance against the 25-year-old Curiel.
For his part, Curiel is coming off a tenth-round knockout loss to Sivenathi Nontshinga in their rematch last February. Curiel was dethroned in that fight, losing his IBF 108-lb title. In Curiel’s previous fight, he’d knocked out Nontshinga in the second round last November to capture the IBF belt in Monte Carlo.

On Saturday night, another undercard fight is WBC female super bantamweight champion Yamileth Mercado (23-3, 5 KOs) defending against Ramla Ali (9-1, 2 KOs) in a ten-round contest.
