A light-heavyweight clash between Zach Parker and Jack Arnfield has been added to Queensberry Promotions’ “Magnificent 7” in Birmingham on July 20.
Derby’s Parker is 24-1 (17 KOs), with the lone loss coming to John Ryder in 2022 when Parker suffered a broken hand and was stopped after four rounds. He has returned with two wins, including victory over Tyron Zeuge over 10 rounds in March.
Arnfield, 33 years old and 26-3 (6 KOs), boxed in April over six rounds, six years after his previous fight.
The promotion, at the Resorts World Arena, was due to be headlined by Liam Davies-Shabaz Masoud, but Davies was forced to withdraw with illness and while Queensberry promoter Frank Warren said that that fight would be rescheduled, Masoud will still fight on July 20.
The bill also features the British middleweight title rematch between Nathan Heaney and Brad Pauls, following their draw earlier in the year, and the British and Commonwealth bantamweight title clash between Ashley Lane and Andrew Cain.
Chantelle Cameron will make her Queensberry Promotions debut against Elhem Mekhaled, and at heavyweight David Adeleye challenges Solomon Dacres for the English title.
Owen Cooper and Ekow Essuman meet for the English welterweight belt, and the unbeaten light-heavyweight Ezra Taylor is also on the bill.
