The rising 18-year-old prospect Curmel “Big Deal” Moton was recently added to the Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal boxing event undercard, as he’s set to face 36-year-old Russian journeyman Nikolai Buzolin (9-8-1, 5 KOs) on Saturday night July 6th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, airing live on Fanmio and DAZN Pay-per-view.
Curmel Moton is a young, focused fighter who is always training in the gym. Due to his work ethic, Moton was prepared to accept his upcoming bout on two weeks notice.
Moton made his professional debut at the age of 17, as he stopped his first two opponents in the opening round. In the third bout of his pro career, Moton was set to face the previously undefeated Anthony Cuba, a fighter who trains with four-division world champion Leo Santa Cruz.
Back in March 2024, Curmel Moton and Anthony Cuba faced each other on the undercard of Tim Tszyu vs Sebastian Fundora. Anthony Cuba accomplished something Moton’s first two opponents were unable to do, as he made it out of the first round.

His opponent Nikolai Buzolin is a crafty veteran who is accustomed to using a variety of feints, and constantly switching stances. Curmel Moton (3-0, 2 KOs) is an impressive blue-chip prospect who has all the tools.
Moton went the distance in his previous fight, but he plans on ending his July 6th bout early. Moton has developed a habit of attempting to stop his opponents early due to the fact that he’s adopted the slogan that ‘boxing doesn’t pay overtime.’
