Avanesyan’s Second Chance at a Title
Avanesyan (30-4-1, 18 KOs) had this opportunity given to him after failing to capture a title in his last fight two years ago against the WBO 147-lb champion Terence Crawford in December 2022.

Ennis says he wants to look good tonight and make a statement by knocking out Avanesyan. However, for Eddie Hearn-promoted Boots Ennis to accomplish his goal of shining, he will have to knock out Avanesyan faster than Crawford did two years ago when he knocked him out with a single punch in the sixth round on December 10, 2022.
Boots will find it difficult to outdo Crawford with a lightning-fast KO of Avanesyan. He’ll have to get in the trenches immediately in the first round and put his chin on the line to start firing the bombs needed to stop the powerful Russian fighter.
The Power Factor
Avanesyan has excellent power, and he might be an even harder puncher than Boots Ennis. He lacks the technical skills, agility, ring IQ, and youth that Boots possesses. But in terms of power, Avanesyan might have the edge, and that will make him dangerous if Boots comes flying out of the starting gates looking for an early knockout tonight.
To become a star, Boots must put on exciting fights and be willing to take his opponents’ hard punches to bring the drama that the fans expect from their gladiators.
