Daniel Dubois’ promoters at Queensberry have contacted Anthony Joshua’s management at 258 to inform them that Daniel is enrolled with VADA.

Yesterday, 258mgt had posted on X, questioning why IBF heavyweight champion Dubois wasn’t enrolled with VADA for their September 21st fight at Wembley Stadium in London.

Mind Games by Team Joshua?

Some fans view all this as Team Joshua’s attempt at mind games to mentally throw Dubois off his game and put him on the defensive.

It’s no secret that the 34-year-old Joshua looked unnerved during his head-to-head interview when Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) invited him to start fighting on the spot after he stared him down. AJ looked rattled during that meeting.

Joshua began to talk about using a chair on Dubois. That was a signal that Joshua didn’t think he could win in a fistfight with the young 26-year-old Dubois. Dubois had walked through fire in his last three fights, emerging as a battle-hard warrior, looking nothing like the fighter he’d been before he hit the frontlines of war.

Those three fights had made Dubois a fearless soldier ready to destroy his enemy without compunction. Joshua looks worried now, knowing what could happen to him, his career, and the massive fight against Tyson Fury waiting just over the horizon in early 2025.

Although His Excellency insists the Fury fight will still happen if one or both lose their next fights, he may change his mind if he sees Joshua knocked out by Dubois.

There’s no way on earth that Joshua can walk about from a knockout loss to Dubois without at least trying to avenge the loss before facing Fury. AJ still has some pride left, and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, won’t like the idea of Joshua not fighting Dubois right away, likely in a rush job, with the idea of catching him off his stride due to him enjoying his victory lap.

That’s how Joshua avenged his loss to Andy Ruiz. They pushed the rematch with Ruiz right away, catching him while he was out of shape due to him partying from instant fame.

Now that’s been confirmed, Joshua and Dubois can focus on their training for their important fight two months from now in September in front of what could be a crowd of 100,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. With that many fans cheering, it will be pure madness inside the ring.
