Once-touted French heavyweight Tony Yoka (11-3) tries to get his career back on track on Saturday (July 27) with a fight scheduled for eight three-minute rounds against Belgian cruiserweight Amine Boucetta (8-15) at the Tolworth Recreation Centre in London, reports dhnet.be.
Yoka has three straight losses while headlining big events in Paris losing to Martin Bakole, Carlos Takam and Ryad Merhy – all on split or majority decisions.
Boucetta is a regular visitor to the U.K. and has in fact lost six straight fights there – always going the distance without winning a round. He’s a tough, durable fighter and able to give Yoka a good workout – should the Belgian win, it will be a major upset and the end of the career for the Olympic gold medal winner from 2016.
