Andy Cruz wasn’t flawless, but scored a great knockout win in the end.
Andy Cruz improved to 4-0 (2 KO) with a seventh round knockout win over veteran Antonio Moran.
The Cuban sensation, who won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, wasn’t flawless in the bout, as Moran (30-7-1, 21 KO) probably deserved to win a couple of rounds, and did seem to sting Cruz in the fifth round, which Cruz acknowledged after the fight.

The 28-year-old Cruz says he’s looking to move on to bigger and better things, and gave his respect to Moran as an opponent.
“I said before the fight, it was never going to be easy for me,” Cruz said through an interpreter. “We know Mexican fighters are really, really tough, and this guy is really experienced. But this is not a ceiling for me, I can go higher from here.”

Cruz also mentioned a possible future fight with Shakur Stevenson, who was sat ringside.
