Who are the Top 10 heavyweights competing in the world today?

The year is a little more than halfway over and the heavyweight division has already been more interesting than it had been in several years. This is highlighted by the fact that for the first time in nearly a quarter of a century, there was actually a fight for the undisputed heavyweight world championship.

That happened back in May when Oleksandr Usyk was awarded a split decision victory against Tyson Fury. With that victory Usyk made boxing history, becoming the first undisputed world heavyweight champion since the great Lennox Lewis, and he likewise became the first undisputed world heavyweight champion during the modern 4 belt era.

Recently we have had 3 heavyweight fights that have shaken things up a bit in the lower part of the Top 10. On July 27th, Derek Chisora scored the big upset against Juggernaut Joe Joyce. Then this past weekend, Andy Ruiz Jr and Jarrell Miller battled it out to a somewhat controversial draw, and on that very same card, we had the fight where Martin Bakole scored the impressive victory against Jared Anderson.

There are more interesting fights on the horizon. Coming up on September 21st, IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois will make his first title defense against former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. That one will be streamed on DAZN P P V.

And later this year on December 21st, Usyk and Fury will have a rematch. The division is shaping up to have a very interesting year, and the future of the heavyweight division is very promising, so fans have a lot to be excited about.
