Anthony Yarde looks to continue building momentum as he gets ready to make his next appearance.

Anthony Yarde, a former light heavyweight title contender, will officially make his return to the ring on Oct. 19, serving as chief support for London’s Copper Box headliner between Adam Azim vs Ohara Davies, as reported by Sky Sports.

“On October 19 I’m back in my home city and I can’t wait,” Yarde said. “Everything about it – the occasion, the journey, the arena, the whole event – I’m very excited. The Copper Box Arena is a special venue for me. It’s near where I grew up and I’ve had some great nights there.”

Yarde (25-3, 24 KOs) has twice come up short when fighting for major world titles against Sergey Kovalev in 2019, and then against Artur Beterbiev last year, with a split decision loss to Lyndon Arthur in between, but has rebounded recently with two wins against much lesser opposition since then.

Interestingly enough, Yarde’s actual opponent hasn’t been formally announced at this time, and considering Oct. 19 is just around the corner he’ll likely be in another relatively low level outing in this one.
