Conor Benn confronted middleweight contender Chris Eubank Jr. today in what looked 100% like a premeditated, highly staged confrontation at the weigh-in for Eubank Jr’s fight this Saturday night against Kamil Szeremeta at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

The welterweight contender Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) had been talking to promoter Eddie Hearn just moments before charging up to Eubank Jr. to start the fake-looking beef for the cameras. Hearn and blowing smoke up Benn’s backside, painting a picture of him and Eubank Jr. selling one million PPV buys and fighting in front of 60,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London.

There’s a good chance that Conor will enter the ring after Eubank Jr’s fight against second-tier fighter Kamil Szeremeta on Saturday night to start promoting their British domestic-level scrap in 2025. It’ll look like pure vaudeville acting with Benn and Eubank Jr. to start hyping their fight, which has past it’s sell-by-date.

“We’re not stupid, and Eubank Jr. is not stupid. That fight [Eubank-Conor Benn] is huge. I’m talking a million buys. I’m talking they’re going to make a fortune. We’d be idiots not to make it, but where we want to go in a career, this is a side step,” said Eddie Hearn to iFL TV about Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr.

It’s unbelievable that fans in the UK would want to waste their money watching two non-world-class fighters like Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. fight. Neither of them has ever beaten anyone of note during their careers, and both live off of being children of famous British boxers.

Eubank-Benn Staged-looking Beef

Conor Benn: “You’re lucky you’re fighting tomorrow. I’d f*** you up right now.”

Chris Eubank Jr: “See this guy comes when I’m cutting weight.”

Benn: “I’ll see you tomorrow after the fight.”

Eubank Jr: “Yeah, you get in the ring.”

Benn: “I’ll get in the ring and give it to you. Of course, mate.”

Eubank Jr: “We’ll see.
