We’ve got a bevy of world title fights coming this week in boxing.
Sunday, Oct. 13
ESPN+, 4:00 am ET, Takuma Inoue vs Seiya Tsutsumi. The first of two Japanese cards on the docket this week, and arguably the stronger of the two, but they’re both pretty good at worst with a lot of relevant names in action. Inoue’s defending his WBA bantamweight title. Also on the card: Kenshiro Teraji vs Cristofer Rosales (vacant WBC flyweight), Seigo Yuri Akui vs Thananchai Charunphak (WBA flyweight), and Shokichi Iwata vs Jairo Noriega (vacant WBO junior flyweight). BLH will have live updates.
Monday, Oct. 14
ESPN+, 4:00 am ET, Junto Nakatani vs Petch Sor Chitpattana. For Nakatani’s WBC bantamweight title. Petch has also been known as Petch CP Freshmart. His record (76-1, 53 KO) is inflated as hell like many Thai records, and his loss was a clear one back in 2018 against Takuma Inoue. But the undercard features Kosei Tanaka vs Phumelele Cafu (WBC super flyweight), Anthony Olascuaga vs Jonathan “Bomba” Gonzalez (WBO flyweight), and Tenshin Nasukawa’s latest fight. BLH will have live updates.
Thursday, Oct. 17
ESPN+, 6:00 pm ET, Alexandre Gaumont vs Cristian Zarata. This middleweight eight-rounder is the main event, to be clear, even though there are names you probably know better on the undercard, including Artur Biyarslanov and Steve Claggett. But they’re both in fights as junky as this one is on paper, so whatever. Some of these cards are worth your time for real. This one not so much, being honest.
Friday, Oct. 18
TNT Sports (UK), 2:00 pm ET, Sam Gilley vs Louis Greene. Check your local listings for the time to be sure, usually it’s 2 or 3 pm our time.
DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Joshua James Pagan vs Trevor Thonson. A card from Puerto Rico. Pagan is either fighting Thonson, as currently listed on BoxRec, or someone named RHODES! as currently on the DAZN schedule poster.
Saturday, Oct. 19
DAZN, Noon ET, Bohdan Sobol vs Lucas Bastida. From Arena Riga in Latvia!
Peacock, 2:00 pm ET, Adam Azim vs Ohara Davies. A Boxxer show from the Copper Box. Michael McKinson vs Tulani Mbenge and Dan Azeez vs Lewis Edmonson among the undercard.
Prime Video, 8:00 pm ET, Bakhram Murtazaliev vs Tim Tszyu. This is being held at the Orlando venue where CBS Sports Network used to have shows and then passed off that operation to Jake Paul’s prospects shows, just in case you were wondering size crowd they were expecting for this one. But it’s a potentially great fight, as a lot of Tim Tszyu fights are. He’ll be trying to lift the IBF 154 lb title from Murtazaliev. The undercard is … light. Let’s put it that way. BLH will have live updates.
