Chris Colbert and Omar Salcido meet in tonight’s ProBox TV main event!
After a week’s delay because of hurricane danger in the Tampa, Florida area, ProBox is back! Tonight, Christ Colbert and Omar Salcido meet in a ProBox TV main event, set for 10 rounds in the lightweight division.
The show starts at 7:30 pm ET, so join us then for full live coverage in the comments section below!
Colbert (17-2, 6 KO) was a prominent member of the PBC stable, fighting his way to an interim WBA 130 lbs. belt during the 16-0 start to his professional career. But, he’s gone 1-2 since July of 2021, first losing to Hector Luis Garcia, then winning a very debatable decision over Jose Valenzuela before getting dominated and knocked out in the 6th round in a rematch. He’ll try to get himself back on a winning track here in his first fight of 2024.
Salcido (19-1, 13 KO) made his US debut with a phenomenal action fight against Jose Nunez last October, losing the decision but putting on a fantastic show in what I picked as the runner up for Fight of the Year of the Week of the Year in 2023. He bounced back with a win two months later over Luis Coria on a Red Owl show, and this is his first fight since.
