Catterall (29-1, 13 KOs) is a hard-luck story, a fighter that many believe should have been a world champion in 2022, but was beaten. He’s brought himself back to the precipice of fighting for another world title if he’s victorious tonight against the 35-year-old Prograis.
A defeat against the American Prograis would sink Catterall’s chances of becoming a world champion, perhaps permanently. There are other contenders with much more power, speed, and skills than him rising up the ranks. This might be Catterall’s only chance before he’s doomed to a permanent domestic-level existence.
