Josniel Castro to face Denzel Whitley on Worcester Championship Boxing

Josniel Castro will headline “Worcester Championship Boxing,” presented by Granite Chin Promotions, Friday night at the DCU Event Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Castro, 27, enters on a four-fight win streak. Weighing in at 153lbs, the 13-1 (8 KOs) junior middleweight looks to continue his push toward contender status. His opponent, Denzel Whitley, matched him at 153lbs. Whitley, 14-0 (8 KOs), has stopped two of his last three opponents, with one victory coming by split decision.

In the co-feature, heavyweight Kevin Nagle, 41, weighed in at 266lbs. The undefeated fighter at 9-0 (7 KOs) will face 30-year-old Jake Paradise, who tipped the scales at 248lbs. Paradise, 8-3 (8 KOs), aims to use his home advantage in Worcester.
