Russian junior welterweight-cum-welterweight Khariton Agrba, 14-0, won something called the IBA Pro world title at welterweight at the IBA Champions Night in Samara on November 4 by beating Argentinian Gabriel Sosa (27-0) over ten. It was scored 99-91 (twice) and 98-92.
The IBA pro fights are a hybrid of professional boxing and Olympic boxing but in this case the fight was also, according to some sources, billed as a WBA eliminator.
Agrba is No. 14 in the latest WBA ratings at 140lbs.

WBC junior bantamweight champion Asley Gonzales, 16-2, defends against Mary Romero, 10-6, at Universum’s big show at the Grand Elysee Hotel in Hamburg on December 12. It will be held in conjunction with the WBC convention.
On a long evening with several WBC belts up for grabs, Gonzalez-Romero is the sole world title fight.

Austrian Daniel Nader, founder, President and head coach at the Bounce Boxing Club, has passed away at the age of 42 after a serious illness.
Nader built Bounce to a club with over 1,000 members promoting shows with both professional and amateur boxing.
Daniel’s younger brother Marcos went 25-3-1 as a pro winning the EU and Austrian titles.

German Olympic boxing star Nelvie Tiafack is about to turn pro – but it won’t be in Germany, nor will a German promoter guide him, reported BILD. Tiafack won a bronze medal in the 2024 Olympics in Paris at super heavyweight.
The 25-year-old Tiafack is reportedly heading for the UK but the name of his promoter was not divulged.

There were no bidders today in Rome for the fight for the vacant EBU Silver title between Swedish champ Pezhman Seifkhani, 18-1, and his Italian counterpart Eduard Giustini, 17-3.
The EBU has set November 13 as the new deadline for purse bids or agreements.
