Former heavyweight titleholder Charles Martin will step back into the ring on Saturday for the first time since his hard-fought loss to Jared Anderson in the summer of 2023.
The 38-year-old Martin will headline an eight-round fight at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, California, after weighing in at 251.2lbs on Friday. His opponent, 43-year-old Matthew McKinney, tipped the scales at 296.2lbs.
Martin, 29-4-1 (26 KOs), will be aiming to rebuild momentum after dropping a unanimous decision to Anderson. McKinney, 17-3 (13 KOs), is coming off a win in July and seeking to extend his late-career run.
