The OTX junior middleweight tournament will conclude on Friday after Brandon Adams and Andreas Katzourakis both weighed in at 153.8lbs on Thursday to green-light their fight to decide the final.
The event, held at Corey Studios in Atlanta, will headline a DAZN telecast.
The 35-year-old Adams, 25-3 (16 KOs), from Whittier, California, returned to the ring after a three-year layoff to enter the OTX tournament. He knocked out Ismael Villarreal in three rounds in April and secured a unanimous decision over Francisco Daniel Veron in August to reach the finals.
Katzourakis, 27, originally from Greece and now training in Houston with Ronnie Shields, had a tougher road to the final. He won a majority decision over Kudratillo Abdukakhorov in the opening round and a split decision over Robert Terry in the semifinals. Known for his aggressive, come-forward style, Katzourakis, 14-1 (10 KOs), struggled to impress all the judges against opponents who opted to move rather than engage.
The main event winner will claim a $100,000 prize and an OTX promotional contract.
The co-feature will pit women’s junior middleweight titleholder Femke Hermans against undefeated Oshae Jones. Both fighters made weight, with Hermans at 153.8lbs and Jones at 154.0lbs. Hermans, 34, from Belgium, won her title last October with a victory over Mary Spencer and enters on a six-fight win streak. Her record stands at 18-4 (7 KOs).
Jones, 26, a 2020 Olympic bronze medalist from Toledo, Ohio, now training in Philadelphia, is on a three-fight knockout streak. She has fought twice in 2024, both on OTX cards, and enters her first title fight at 7-0 (3 KOs).
