Ryan Garcia is interested in facing cruiserweight Jake Paul when he returns from his year-long suspension in April 2025.
Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) says his lack of size wouldn’t prevent him from beating Jake (11-1, 7 KOs), because he has the superior technical skills. Ryan believes he’ll knock out the 27-year-old Paul within five rounds.
“It could be against Jake Paul. He was trying to beat up on an old Mike [Tyson]. We said we could run it one day, and that kind of gave birth to his boxing career. So, I’m here to end it. If I fought Jake Paul, I’d probably be 185,” said Ryan Garcia to Ariel Helwani’s YouTube channel, discussing a fight he wants when he returns from his suspension.
“I generally think they believe I’m too small, but skills pay the bills. If Jake fights the way he fought against Mike, I believe I’ll knock him out in four or five rounds.”
Jake hasn’t fought anyone with Ryan’s skills and youth during his short four-year pro career, and it would be a dangerous fight.
