George Kambosos Jr. lit into Teofimo Lopez, reacting to him saying on social media that he’d made “reasonable offers” to him and Devin Haney, and both “declined.” Kambosos says Teofimo is fake and knows nothing about PPVs or selling tickets.

When asked about the “reasonable offers,” Teofimo said Kamboso and Haney had been offered “$2.4 million guaranteed & 55/45 split on PPV.” Teo didn’t say if he would be the one getting the 55 portion, but that’s likely the case. He holds the WBO light welterweight title, which would be his argument for why he deserves the bigger slice.

Kambosos (21-3, 10 KOs) is still interested in fighting Teofimo (21-1, 13 KOs) and wants him to contact him. The Aussie Kambosos beat Teofimo by a 12-round split decision exactly three years ago on November 27, 2021. Teofimo chose not to take the rematch and instead moved up to 140 and was rapidly positioned by his promoters at Top Rank to capture the WBO against a faded Josh Taylor on June 10, 2023,

The former unified lightweight champion Kambosos signed a co-promotional deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing on November 24th. He’s being positioned to fight the winner of the December 7th clash between IBF light welterweight champion Liam Paro and Richardson Hitchins.

Bring your Daddy, Too

George Kambosos Jr: “There’s your reasonable offer 🤣. You’re a Fugazi [fake], like I said in 2021 and like I say now in 2024. What reasonable offer you know nothing about money, PPVs or selling tickets HAHA, you fight in wedding ballrooms these days, you don’t know if your coming or going. If you really want it, like I’ve always said, you know where to find me. Bring your daddy too, we already 2 and 0 against you clowns. Your bosses [Top Rank] don’t respect you anyway, just like I didn’t respect you and manhandled you,” said Kambosos Jr. on X.

Teofimo Lopez: “We sent reasonable offers to fight to both Team Haney and Team Kambosos. Both have declined! If you don’t believe it, ask Top Rank and Bruce Trampler. You bums on that WITSEC! #Boxing. @Realdevinhaney @georgekambosos.

“$2.4M guaranteed & 55/45 split on PPV Shares.”

It doesn’t seem like Teofimo is serious about wanting to fight Haney or Kambosos and was just posting on social media to get attention. The way Teofimo has looked recently, he’s not going to hold onto his WBO 140-lb division much longer.

He’s not looked the same since moving up to 140 and has struggled in fights against Steve Claggett, Jamaine Ortiz, Pedro Campa, and Sandor Martin. The only fight that Teofimo looked good was against Josh Taylor, but he’s just a shell of his former self since his war with Jose Ramirez in 2021.
