PHILADELPHIA – Sibling boxers Shera Mae Patricio and Lyndon Patricio Jnr are used to fighting on the same card in the amateurs, but Saturday will mark the first time they will do so as professionals.

Both Shera Mae, 3-0 (2 KOs), and Lyndon, 2-0 (1 KO), of Waianae, Hawaii, will see action in four-round bouts at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Shera Mae, 22, will face Josefina Vega, 9-10 (4 KOs), in a four-round junior bantamweight bout, while Lyndon Jnr, 20, will face Marcus Decamp, 0-2.

The Patricio siblings finalized their preparations at Kaoz Boxing in Philadelphia, working on the pads with their father, Lyndon Snr, and manager, Bob Kane, and doing some technical sparring to keep their reflexes sharp.

Shera Mae, an 11-time national champion and former US national team member, discussed her unique upbringing, coming from a family in which all eight children box. She also discussed the possibility of facing her amateur rival, Kayla Gomez, in the professional ranks now that Gomez has elected to turn professional, as well as the prospect of competing in the Olympics for the Philippines, where both of her parents were born.

Lyndon Jnr talked about making a move from Waianae to Las Vegas in order to advance his career, his favorite memories of watching Manny Pacquiao growing up and his goals as a professional boxer.
