Arnold Khegai will step up to take on world title contender Joet Gonzalez in a 10-round featherweight main event on a ProBox TV card March 8 at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California.

Khegai, 22-1-1 (14 KOs), is a 32-year-old from Odesa, Ukraine, who now fights out of Los Angeles. His only career defeat came in a 12-round unanimous decision to Stephen Fulton in 2020, but he has won six fights since, including most recently when he retired Belmar Preciado last August.

Gonzalez, 26-4 (15 KOs), a 31-year-old Los Angeles fighter, won his first 23 professional fights before being outpointed in a featherweight title bout to Shakur Stevenson, now a three-division titleholder, in 2019. Gonzalez is 3-4 in his past seven fights but has taken on some of the steepest challenges available in his division, including former featherweight titleholders Emanuel Navarrete and Luis Alberto Lopez and former junior featherweight belt holder Isaac Dogboe.

In the co-main, Serbian-American light heavyweight Radivoje Kaladjzic will take on France’s Mickael Diallo.

The 33-year-old Kaladjzic, 29-3 (21 KOs), most recently lost a decision to David Morrell Jnr in August but has otherwise lost only to Artur Beterbiev (in 2019) and Marcus Browne (in 2016).

Also 33, Diallo, 21-1-2 (18 KOs) has lost only once in his career – to Malik Zinad in 2023 – and bounced back with a stoppage of Nadjib Mohammedi last March in his most recent outing.

On the undercard, Japanese bantamweight Katsuma Akitsugi, 11-0 (2 KOs), now fighting out of Los Angeles, will face Nicaragua’s Winston Guerrero, 22-1 (13 KOs); and Mexico’s Jesus Saracho, 14-2-1 (11 KOs), a southpaw now fighting out of Auburn, Washington, will take on Louie Lopez, 16-2-2 (5 KOs), of Corona, California, at welterweight.
