Joseph Parker says everything in training camp has gone perfectly right as he aims to take Daniel Dubois’ IBF title.
Leading into his upcoming fight with IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois, Joseph Parker talks about having everything right for this fight and expecting to put on a spectacular performance given the tremendous condition he’s in. Check out some excerpts of what Parker had to say about his fight with Dubois below.
“I’m saying this truthfully, there’s absolutely nothing more that we could’ve done,” Parker said about his training camp. “We have done everything and I am in peak, top condition to put on the best performance.
“I’m not too worried about the weight. As long as Andy’s happy with my boxing and George’s happy with conditioning and I’m happy where everything’s at, it doesn’t really matter about the weight.
“The full focus on going into this fight is getting it right, executing this game plan, this perfect game plan that we have, and just executing it to perfection. That’s my goal.
“We’re enjoying this whole thing, leading into this fight. Doesn’t matter if they’re punchers or not, when you have a great game plan, when you’ve done all the work, you’ve ticked all the boxes, you’ve done everything there is to be the best prepared you can be, we have no fear. When I say ‘we’ it’s a team effort. I’m the only one in the ring but there’s so many people involved to get me to this point.
“My plan is to go in there and execute the game plan and enjoy my work. be there, be present, be excited about this opportunity and let it all flow. The knockout, when it comes, it comes. We’ve been working on many ways to get this guy out of there, but when it comes it comes…I can break his heart, and I will.”
