Super Welterweight champion Abass Baraou of Germany defeated Macaulay McGowan of the UK over 12 action rounds on Friday night at the Bolton Whites Hotel in Bolton, Lancashire, UK.

In the main event, Abass Baraou, 16-1 (9) defeated Macaulay ‘The Whythenshawe Warrior’ McGowan, 20-5-2 (5) over 12 rounds.

In the co-feature, Lerrone Richards was stopped in six rounds by Steed Woodall for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental Super Middle title.

In the second and third rounds, both boxers let their hands go slugging it out. In the fourth rounds final minute, Baraou drew blood from the nose of McGowan with a right hand.

In the fifth round, McGowan kept coming forward, getting hit with countering punches from Baraou with little in return.

In the seventh round, McGowan came back well enough to take a close round. In the eighth, Baraou was back in charge, out-landing McGowan. In the tenth Baraou knocked out the mouthpiece of McGowan in the final seconds.

In the eleventh round, the action continued going back and forth, with Baraou having an edge.

In the twelfth and final round, McGowan’s face was covered with blood, but the heart of a lion as Baraou tried for a stoppage again, knocking out the mouthpiece in an all-action battle.

The wcores were 117-111, 119-110, and 118-110.

Southpaw Lerrone ‘Sniper’ Richards, 18-1 (4) was stopped by Steed ‘The Stallion’ Woodall, 19-2-1 (12) at 1:59 of the sixth round of a scheduled 10 rounds for vacant WBO Inter-Continental Super Middle Title.

In the first three rounds, Woodall pressed Richards with mostly just jabbing. In the sixth round, Woodall landed a right on the chin, rocking Richards, and followed with three more punches and down went Richards for an 8 count from referee Steve Gray. Upon rising, he stumbled causing the stoppage.

Middleweight ‘Ruthless’ Ryan Kelly, 19-4-1 (8), fought to a split decision 10-round draw against Gerome ‘Bread Maker’ Warburton, 14-1-2 (2). The referee was Ron Kearney.

Super Light Ben Marksby, 10-0 (0), of Darlington, UK, defeated Miguel ‘El Gato’ Cesario Antin, 20-16-1 (8) by an 8 rounds point decision. Referee John Latham scored it 80-73.

Flyweight Chloe Watson, 8-0 (0), defeated Kate Radomska, 4-4 (0) by a six-round points decision. Referee Steve Gray scored it 60-54.

Super Lightweight Ellis Price, 1-0 (0), defeated Christian ‘Cris’ Lopez Flores, 14-41-2 (12), by a 6-round decision.

Flyweight Mikie Tallon, 5-0 (0) beat Marius Vysniauskas, 2-24 (1) by a six round decision. Referee John Latham scored it 60-54.
