Middleweights Sadriddin Akhmedov and Raphael Igbokwe successfully made weight for their main event clash, but the undercard saw drama as Jorge Maravillo missed weight in a battle of prospects.
The fights take place at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California, with action starting at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT) on UFC Fight Pass.
Akhmedov, 26, weighed in at 158.8lbs, while Igbokwe, 32, from Houston, came in at 157.2lbs. Akhmedov, originally from Kazakhstan and now training in Southern California, brings an undefeated record of 14-0 (12 KOs). Igbokwe enters with a record of 17-5 (7 KOs).
On the undercard, Maravillo, 24, from Salinas, California, came in at 151.8lbs for a scheduled catchweight bout against Oakland’s Damoni Cato-Cain, who hit the 150lbs limit. Maravillo has been training at Wild Card Boxing in Hollywood, California, after parting ways with his previous team, led by the late Max Garcia and his son Sam.
Maravillo, undefeated at 10-0 (8 KOs), fights for the third time in 2024. Cato-Cain, 27, enters on a two-fight win streak with a record of 8-1-1 (7 KOs). His only loss came via unanimous decision to Eric Tudor in March 2023. He rebounded with a knockout of Juan Meza Moreno at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California, in November 2023, which is Cato-Cain’s last fight.
