Alberto Palmetta and Jesus Saracho both weighed in below the contracted weight limit for their welterweight main event in Plant City, Florida, on this week’s “Wednesday Night Fights” on ProBox TV.
Palmetta (19-2, 13 KOs), a 2016 Olympian for Argentina who now resides in West Palm Beach, Florida, weighed in at 146.8 pounds while the tough veteran Saracho (13-2-1, 11 KOs), originally from Mexico and now training in Washington, came in at 144.6 pounds.
Palmetta enters Wednesday’s fight after defeating Janelson Figueroa Bocachica last November on ProBox TV. Saracho is 1-1-1 in his last three fights after defeating Cesar Francis in 2023, drawing with Tarik Zaina and most recently dropping a split decision to Starling Castillo in March. He will be fighting at welterweight for the first time in his career.
For the co-feature, 19-year-old undefeated welterweight phenom Emiliano Moreno (9-0, 5 KOs), of Long Beach, California, weighed in at 146 pounds, while his opponent Rashield Williams (11-2, 9 KOs), from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, weighed 146.6 pounds.
