The light heavyweight undisputed championship fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will now be shown live on DAZN PPV, along with the undercard on October 12th from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Before, the Beterbiev-Bivol fight had been cropped from the card and shown only on ESPN+ for subscribers to that platform. However, Shakur Stevenson pulled out of the DAZN PPV headliner for the undercard; the Beterbiev vs. Bivol fight will now be shown on that platform.

Fans who don’t have a subscription to ESPN+ can watch the Beterbiev vs. Bivol fight free of charge. They can also order it for $14.99 on DAZN PPV and see it along with the undercard, which features many UK fighters. If fans aren’t interested in subscribing to ESPN+, paying to watch it on DAZN PPV is a good option.

The undercard is a mixed bag of hits and misses. Things start badly in the chief support fight between middleweight Chris Eubank Jr. and journeyman Kamil Szeremeta. That’s not a fight worthy of being shown on DAZN PPV for the co-feature.

The 34-year-old Eubank Jr. is a career underachiever who has only stepped up once in his career at the world level and was royally thrashed by George Groves in 2018. Since then, Eubank Jr. has returned to his domestic-level roots, and never dared fight another top-tier fighter. Hence, he stands out like a sore thumb on PPV, looking completely out of place.

Undercard

– Chris Eubank vs. Kamil Szeremeta: Chief support
– Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke
– Jai Opetaia vs. Jack Massey
– Ben Whittaker vs. Liam Cameron
– Skye Nicolson vs. Raven Chapman
– Mohammed Alakel vs. Jose Gonzalez

The heavyweight matchup between fringe contenders Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke won’t do much to encourage fans in the U.S. to order this event on DAZN PPV because these guys aren’t major players in the division. That rematch might play well in England but not in the U.S.
