Blair Cobbs says that only one thing awaits Adrien Broner on Friday: “an ass-whooping.”

Cobbs and Broner will fight at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Cobbs (16-1-1, 10 KOs) lacks the experience of Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs), but he is forecasting victory over his fellow 34-year-old fighter.

Cobbs brought out a puppet he called “The Trash Can Man,” mimicking Broner (one of whom’s nicknames is “The Can Man”) and quoting his insults from the build-up to the fight. Cobbs expressed his confidence in victory.

“We had a good time, he had a good run, and now it is time for his demise,” Cobbs said. “We all know what is going to happen. It is an ass-whooping. It is ass-whooping time.”

Upon Broner’s arrival, Cobbs was more subdued, while Broner was animated. When Broner was asked by the media if he would let his hands go in the fight – a common criticism of Broner in the past – Cobbs interjected.

“He is going to let his hands go?” Cobbs said. “Has that ever happened? Is that actually a thing?”

Cobbs noted that he is prepared for any version of Broner, but he believes Broner’s punch output could be a weakness. In many of Broner’s losses and controversial victories, his failure to hurl enough blows was a recurring theme. Cobbs reiterated his belief in the fight’s outcome.

“Come fight night, there is nothing but an ass-whooping coming,” said Cobbs.
