In the main event, IBF World Welterweight champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis won a hard-fought 12-round unanimous decision over the IBF No. 1 contender Karen Chukhadzhian on Saturday night in front of 10,000+ fans at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Ennis scored a lone knockdown in round five when Chukhadzhian took a knee.

In chief support, WBC World Super Flyweight champion Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez stopped WBC Interim Super Flyweight champion Pedro Guevara in three rounds.

Ennis (33-0, 29) defeated Chukhadzhian (24-3, 13 KOs) by a 12-round unanimous decision. In the first round Ennis coming out southpaw controlled for the most part until the final minute when Chukhadzhian landed a right to the side of the head stunning Ennis. In the second through the fourth rounds, the fighting was all inside, with little action and an even fight.

In the fifth round, Ennis, in the final minute, landed a right uppercut on the chin, dropping Chukhadzhian for an 8-count from Referee Harvey Dock.  Ennis was warned several times for low blows in the sixth round.

In the seventh round, Ennis was given a stiff warning from referee Dock a second time about a low blow. Both had their moments the rest of the round. Chukhadzhian landed his best punch of the fight, left on Ennis’s chin halfway through the round. In the final minute, Ennis had his way with Chukhadzhian, landing the final punch of the round, but may have lost the round.

In the ninth round, unlike in their first fight, Chukhadzhian was running but fighting and showing a decent chin, except for an earlier knockdown. In between rounds, trainer Bozy Ennis once again showed his frustration that Boots hadn’t ended the fight.

Referee Dock took away a point for Chukhadzhian’s consistent holding in the tenth. During the rest of the round, Chukhadzhian came back fighting, and Ennis got the better of it.

In the eleventh round Chukhadzhian came out fighting as good as at anytime in the fight making a fight of it. In the twelfth and final round both had their moments. Ennis won the fight but not like in his usual previous performances except for the lone knockdown.

Scores were 119-107, 117-109 and 116-110.

WBC World Super Fly champion Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez, 21-0 (14) stopped WBC Interim Super Fly champ Pedro Guevara (42-5-1, 21 KOs) at 2:47 of the third round in a scheduled 12 rounds.

Rodriguez tried to land the big punch in the first two rounds, but Guevara kept busy enough to stop that.

In the third round final minute, Rodriguez dropped Guevara with a left on the chin for an 8-count from Referee Ricky Gonzalez. Seconds later, a right uppercut from Rodriguez on the chin and down went Guevara without a count from referee Gonzalez.

Former WBA World Feather and current WBA Continental Americas Feather champ, southpaw Raymond ‘Savage’ Ford (16-1-1, 8 KOs) defeated southpaw Orlando ‘Capu’ Gonzalez (23-3, 13 KOs over ten rounds for the vacant WBA Continental Super Featherweight title.

Scores 99-89, 100-88, and 100-88.

In the first round, Ford had an edge out-landing Gonzalez. In the second round, a right hook from Ford knocked Gonzalez under the ropes for an 8-count from referee Shawn Clark. He somehow managed to get through the rest of the round.

From the third round through the fifth, little happened. In the sixth round, Ford came out, landing some hard punches through Gonzalez’s gloves, and a right hand landed.

In the seventh round, Ford landed overhand left after left with seconds to go a right hook from Ford on the chin and down went Gonzalez for an 8-count from referee Clark. Gonzalez was chased around the ring in the ninth and tenth rounds, only looking to get to the final bell.

WBC USA light heavyweight champion Khalil ‘Big Steppa’ Coe (9-1-1, 7 KOs) was stopped by Manuel ‘El Meno’ Gallegos (21-2-1, 18 KOs) at 07 of the ninth round of a scheduled ten rounds.

In the first round final minute, Coe rocked Gallegos with a right on the chin, knocking his head back. In the second round, both had their moments until the final minute when Coe again rocked Gallegos with a right on the chin, rocking him. In the third round’s final minute, Gallegos started to rip to the body of Coe, taking his first round.

In the fourth round, from the midway point to the bell, Gallegos landed, at times, half a dozen unanswered punches. He dominated Coe. In the fifth round midway point, a body shot from Gallegos dropped Coe for an 8-count from referee Eric Dali. In the final seconds, Coe came back well.

In the seventh round, Gallegos picked up where he left off, going to the body of Coe, having him on the defense at the midway point, landing three rights, the second an uppercut on the chin from Gallegos, and down went Coe from a body shot for an 8-count.

In the eighth round, in the first minute, Gallegos dropped Coe with a body shot, scoring the third knockdown of the fight. In the ninth round, Gallegos came out, landing four punches to the chin, and down went Coe as Referee Dali waved it off.

Former WBA International and IBF North American middleweight champion southpaw Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (17-1, 12 KOs) stopped Gian ‘Double G’ Garrido (11-2, 8 KOs) at 1:04 of the fifth round of a scheduled eight rounds.

In the first round final minute, southpaw Williams landed a big left on the chin Garrido, bringing a roar from the crowd. In the second round, swelling began under Garrido’s right eye. In the third round’s final minute, they exchanged punches, with Williams having the better of it.

In the fourth round, Garrido came back well enough to take the round. In the fifth round, Williams opened up, having Garrido’s face all busted up and out on his feet from numerous punches before Referee Harvey Dock stepped in with Garrido’s head being bounced like a rubber ball.

Welterweight southpaw Ish ‘The Chef’ Muhammad (6-0, 3 KOs) defeated Nelson Morales (5-19, 2 KOs) over six rounds.

In the first two rounds, Muhammad dominated with his hand and foot speed. In the third round, in the last 30 seconds, Muhammad landed a lead left to the chin, stopping Morales in his tracks. Morales made it more like a wrestling match than a boxing match.

In the fourth and final round, Muhammad, on several occasions, landed 3-punch combinations.

Scores were 40-36, 40-36, and 40-36.

Super bantamweight southpaw Dennis Thompson (3-0, 1 KO) defeated Edgar Ortiz, Jr. (8-6-2, 4 KOs) over four rounds.

Super featherweight Zaquin Moses (1-0) beat Michael Ruiz, 1-5) by a four-round decision.
