WBA Continental Americas champion Kevin Hayler Brown and John ‘El Terrible’ Bauza on Friday night at the Caribe Royale Orlando, Orlando, Florida.
In the main event, WBA Continental Americas Super Light champion Brown (6-0. 3 KOs) defeated a tough Bauza (18-2, 8 KOs) over ten rounds, scoring the lone knockdown in the first round.
In the first round, Bauza outboxed Brown for the most part until the final half-minute, when Brown landed a right to the body, dropping Bauza for an 8-count from Referee Massimino Montanini. In the third round, with a minute remaining, Brown delivered a right to the body, hurting Bauza, who came right back at Brown.
In the fourth round, Brown’s body attack won him the round, though Bauza hung in tough coming back.
In the sixth round’s final seconds, Bauza finished strong, trying to steal the round. In the seventh round, Brown had an edge in a close round. In the eighth round’s final minute, Bauza again finished the stronger of the two.
In the ninth round, it was close, with Brown having an edge. In the tenth and final round, Bauza roughed up Brown several times. It even looked like a knockdown by Bauza was ruled a low blow by the referee, while Brown had a strong finish.
The scores were 99-93, 98-91, and 97-92.
Super lightweight Hendri ‘La Bazuca’ Cedeno (14-0, 11 KOs) stopped southpaw Enrico ‘Gudan’ Gogokhia (13-2-2, 8 KOs) after five rounds of a scheduled eight rounds.
In the first two rounds, Cedeno dominated with his hand speed. In the third round, Gogokhia landed an overhand right on Cedeno’s chin halfway through the round.
In the fourth round, Cedeno came back boxing well in another close round. In the fifth round, it was all Cedeno. In between rounds, the corner of Gogokhia called a halt due to a left shoulder injury suffered by Gogokhia.
The referee was Alicia Collins.
Middleweight southpaw Yoelvis ‘La Joya’ Gomez (8-1, 7 KOs) stopped southpaw Diego ‘Mexicano’ Ferreira (11-3, 7 KOs) after four rounds of a scheduled eight rounds.
At the halfway point of the first round, Gomez landed a solid right hook to the chin, stunning Ferreira. In the final seconds, a Gomez right hook on the chin rocked Ferreira. In the second and third rounds, Gomez outlanded Ferreira.
In the fourth round, Gomez drew blood from the nose of Ferreira and hurt him several times, and in the final seconds, Gomez had Ferreira hurt. The Ferreira corner called a halt.

Bantamweight Carlos ‘Prettyboy’ Lebron (3-1-1, 3 KOs) ended in a majority draw with Luis Quiles (2-0-1, 1 KO) four rounds.
In the first two rounds, Lebron out-worked Quiles. In the third round it was Quiles coming back well enough to take the round. In the fourth and final round it was close with Lebron having an edge.
Referee was Alicia Collins. The scores were 39-37 Lebron, 38-38 twice.
