In co-feature, WBO International Light Flyweight champion Angel ‘Tito’ Acosta was stopped prematurely in the tenth and final round, though well behind Ricardo ‘El Nino’ Sandoval for the vacant WBC Silver title.
In the main event, WBA Continental Americas Lightweight champ William ‘Camaron’ Zepeda, 31-0 (27), stopped Giovanni Cabrera, 22-2 (7), at 1:58 of the third round of a scheduled 12 rounds.
Zepeda kept coming forward in the first round, getting countered by Cabrera, who took the round. In the third round, Zepeda went to the body, dropping Cabrera, who tried beating the count of Referee Thomas Taylor but didn’t make it as the fight was waved off.
In the co-feature, former WBO Light Flyweight champ and current WBO Int’l Fly champ Angel ‘Tito’ Acosta, 24-5 (22), was prematurely stopped by Ricardo ‘El Nino’ Sandoval, 25-2 (17), at 1:23 of the tenth and final round for the vacant WBC Silver title.
In the second round’s final seconds, Sandoval rocked Acosta with a right uppercut to the chin. From the third through the sixth, Sandoval had his way, out-landing Acosta.
Acosta had his best round of the fight in the ninth round, out-landing Sandoval. In the tenth and final round, Acosta had Sandoval in a corner when Sandoval landed a left uppercut on the chin as Referee Raul Caiz, Jr. suddenly called a halt.
As Ring Announcer Joe Martinez announced the result, the fans showed their displeasure by booing more toward Referee Caiz than anything else.
Featherweight southpaw ‘Gucci’ Manny Flores, 18-1 (14), stopped Nohel Arambulet, Jr., 23-7-2 (13), at 1:59 of the second round of a scheduled ten rounds.
Flores took the first round with a good body attack. In the second round, Flores dropped Arambulet with a right to the chin for an 8-count from Referee Jerry Cantu. Flores jumped all over Arambulet, dropping him again with a right hook to the head, and down he went for the count from Referee Cantu.
Welterweight Joel Iriarte, 3-0 (3), stopped Yainel Alvarez, 3-5-2 (1), at 2:41 of the second round of a scheduled 6 rounds.
In the second round, Iriarte came back from a Alvarez right and landed a vicious uppercut, knocking the head of Alvarez back and followed with several punches, causing Referee David Sullivan to call a halt.
Super Lightweight southpaw ‘Chi-Town Heat’ Alex Martin, 18-6 (6), lost a decision to Pedro ‘Roca’ Campa, 36-3-1 (24), over 10 rounds.
Campa pressed and out-landed Martin in the first three rounds with body shots. Southpaw Martin used his jab in the sixth round, while Campa used his strength to get inside.
In the seventh round, Martin landed a solid right hook to the chin of Campa, looking like drawing some blood from the mouth. In the ninth round, Campa’s face is swelling more or less from heads clashing. Campa may have pulled out the win in the tenth and final round, getting the better of the action.
The referee was Thomas Taylor. Scores 97-90, 96-91, 94-93.
Featherweight Gael ‘El Terrorista’ Cabrera, 5-0 (3), stopped Mychaquell Shields, 2-5 (0), at 1:09 of the third round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the first two rounds, Cabrera had his way out-landing defensive-minded Shields. In the third round, Cabrera knocked out Shields’s mouthpiece with a headshot. Cabrera then dropped Shields with a body shot, causing Referee Raul Caiz, Jr. to call a halt wisely.
Lightweight Joshua ‘El Americano’ Garcia, 9-0 (4), won a majority decision over southpaw Jason ‘Manefisto’ Buenaobra, 10-11-3 (6), over six rounds.
In the first three rounds, Garcia had his way against Buenaobra. In the fourth and fifth rounds, Buenaobra got himself back into the fight, though not winning them. In the sixth and final round Buenaobra was pushed to the canvas. Garcia won another round, though not impressed.
The referee was Jerry Cantu. Scores 57-57, 58-56 and 59-55.

Referee Raul Caiz, Jr.
Featherweight southpaw Japhethlee Liamido, 12-1 (4), defeated Ryan ‘Stone Killa’ Allen, 10-8-1 (5), eight rounds.
In the second round, southpaw Liamido kept switching to orthodox and back. Allen seemed to do enough to take a close round. In the third round, Liamido came back well, out-landing Allen.
In the fifth round’s final seconds, Allen missed a punch and went down when their feet got tangled, but Referee Jerry Cantu gave him an 8-count.
In the seventh round, Allen was noticeably slowing down. He’s lost his last four fights, though he never stopped. Liamido lost for the first time, stopped in the first round last October, and put in over his head. In the eighth and final round, Liamido scored another winning round with foot and hand speed.
