After almost three years delay, it’s once again fight week for Chris Eubank and Conor Benn

Friday, Apr. 25

DAZN, 9:00 pm ET, David Stevens vs Yair Gallardo. A Paco Presents/Golden Boy co-production from Long Beach, California. Eric Tudor and Justin Viloria appear in support

Saturday, Apr. 26

DAZN, 12:00 pm ET, Showdown for Legacy II. Not on the upcoming schedule currently, but the poster mentions DAZN, so I’m listing it. Main event is a WBO title fight between Sarah Bormann and Isabel Rivero. Deeper on the card, 40 year old Turkish/German cruiserweight Huseyin “The Hurricane” Cinkara fights an 8 rounder. Why mention it? Because he’s currently the IBF #1 contender, and Jai Opetaia still can’t get a unification fight with anyone. If the IBF calls another mandatory, Cinkara is the man at the front of the line for it.

DAZN PPV, 12:00 pm ET, Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn. From Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, where the home team seems to be suffering a pretty lousy season. But, I don’t really know enough to make a joke about them, and if I did, it’d probably get me fired. A fight originally set for October of 2022, if you can believe it’s been that long. Canceled due to a Conor Benn drug test failure on the original fight week, it’s back on now because neither man has any avenue to make anywhere near as much money doing anything else. Benn used to be a top name at welterweight, but both his star power and his punching power have faded significantly since his suspension and move up to super welter. Eubank used the time since to put on a pair of middleweight fights against Liam Smith (who appears in support here), then stop Kamil Szeremeta on a Riyadh show. It’s $25 on DAZN PPV, and your money also gets you the rubber match in the Anthony Yarde vs Lyndon Arthur trilogy, Chris Billam-Smith vs Brandon Glanton, and Cheavon Clarke vs Viddal Riley. BLH will have live updates

BLK Prime, 7:00 pm ET, Ashton Sylve vs Nicolas Polanco. Sixteen fights on this card, though only 3 of them are scheduled for eight or more rounds. Looks like it’ll cost you $5.99 for a month subscription to BLK Prime. Amado Vargas and Jayson Velez are among the 30 other names on the card.
