Jake Paul faces Mike Perry in the headline fight of the week.
Monday, July 15
DAZN, 4:00 am ET, Riku Kunimoto vs Eiki Kani. Four middleweight fights, all set for 10 rounds. Kunimoto stopped Kani in March and they run it back here. Some solid matchups on paper overall, it’s a nice Prizefighter lineup. Aaron McKenna faces Jeovanny Estela, Ainiwaer Yilixiati takes on Kieron Conway, and Kazuto Takesako faces Mark Dickinson in the other matchups.
Friday, July 19
DAZN, Noon ET, Juergen Uldedaj vs Steven Ward.
TrillerTV PPV, 7:00 pm ET, UP Boxing Series.
DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Alexis Rocha vs Santiago Dominguez. Rocha looks to make it two straight wins, and he’ll have to take the “0” from Dominguez to do it. Rocha will be favored to do just that; Dominguez is 27-0, but he’s also 32 years old and has not fought at much of a level so far. You never know until you truly know, but Rocha is the clear favorite here.
Saturday, July 20
ESPN+, 5:00 am ET, Junto Nakatani vs Vincent Astrolabio. Nakatani has emerged as one of the best fighters in the sport today, and it’s expected that he will ultimately crush Astrolabio, but Nakatani really is must-see TV every time he fights. He’s not an Arturo Gatti/Diego Corrales sort of action star, but he’s not dull and he’s had some highlight reel moments and knockouts. Kosei Tanaka faces Jonathan Rodriguez for a 115 lb title, and Riku Kano and Anthony Olascuaga fight for the vacant WBO flyweight belt, too. Tenshin Nasukawa is also on the card as he faces a different Jonathan Rodriguez. BLH will have live updates and results.
TNT Sports (UK), 2:00 pm ET, Nathan Heaney vs Brad Pauls 2. These two had a hell of a fight in March, going to a draw in Birmingham. They run it back at the same venue, headlining another of Frank Warren’s “Magnificent Seven” shows. Also featured: Chantelle Cameron vs Elhem Mekhaled, Ashley Lane vs Andrew Cain, Owen Cooper vs Ekow Essuman, and more. Neither ESPN+ nor TrillerTV have it on the schedule yet, but decent chance it pops up.
DAZN and Social Media, 7:00 pm ET, Jake Paul vs Mike Perry prelims.
PPV, 9:00 pm ET, Jake Paul vs Mike Perry. Jake Paul fights have gotten pretty routine to anyone who isn’t 12, but this one does offer some intrigue. Mike Perry is no professional boxer, but he’s a real and true fighter, and has found his most success in bare knuckle. Perry’s a wild card choice for Paul, but I also hesitate to wade into the “Jake Paul’s made a big mistake picking this guy!” because we’ve heard that before. Amanda Serrano takes a 140 lb tune-up ahead of her November rematch with Katie Taylor, plus Ashton “H2O” Sylve and more. BLH will have live updates and results.
