Jaime Munguia (44-1, 35 KOs) will put his glittering record at risk tonight against the unbeaten Bruno Surace (20-0, 2 4 KOs) in a ten-round homecoming clash in Tijuana, Mexico.
A ‘Gimme’ for Canelo Rematch?
This fight isn’t expected to go the distance, as the French native, Surace, 26, is NOT a contender. He’s what is referred to as a ‘gimme‘ for Munguia to showcase his talent and to keep him winning long enough to be blessed with a rematch with Canelo Alvarez.
Munguia vs Surace: Live Results and Updates
The Munguia-Surace contest is one pound over the super middleweight limit at 169 lbs in their contest at the Estadio Caliente. Tijuana, Mexico.
Tonight’s event will be shown live on ESPN+ at 9:00 p.m. ET. It’s the second fight for Munguia, 28, since losing to WBA/WBC/WBO super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez by a 12-round unanimous decision on May 4th.

That was a competitive fight until Munguia took over in the tenth round to get the knockout over the previously unbeaten Bazinyan (32-1-1, 23 KOs).
