Adrien Broner and Blair Cobbs traded expletives today during their final press conference for their welterweight fight this Friday night on June 7th at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.
The fight hasn’t had a strong promotion, unfortunately, but the former four-division world champion Broner (35-4-1, 24 KOs) and Blair “The Flair” Cobbs (16-1-1, 10 KOs) made up for it slightly with the trash-talking they did today.
Broner, 34, was talking about guns and being willing to die in the ring in this fight. It’s hard to believe AB anymore, as he’s had problems letting his hands go in his fights over the last eight years and has lost two out of his last five fights.
Friday’s Broner-Cobbs fight is seen as a toss-up, as both guys are fringe-level fighters, and neither of them going anywhere.
Broner’s Disturbing Rhetoric
“I’m coming to die if I have to. I don’t know what [Cobbs] is coming to do,” said Adrien Broner during today’s press conference for his fight against Blair Cobbs this Saturday night in Hollywood, Floria.
“I’m coming to take it that far. I’m coming to die in that ring. Don’t play no games. All I got to do is point, and they going to blow. I already beat bodies and they still looking for me, and every charge been acquitted.
“So don’t come up here playing. Don’t make no false move. I’m not playing. I’ll smack you. They will shoot you in your s***. You a b*** boy and I’m going to show you. I’m going to beat that s*** off your nails,” said Broner about Cobbs colored fingernails.
“We get on the scales today,” said Broner as he tears off his shirt.
“Get naked for me,” said Cobbs, encouraging Broner. “Come on, take it off. Take the socks off, too. Come June 7th, I’m going to be beating on a b***. On June 7th, I have to beat on one more b****. I’m kinky. I got handcuffs and everything. I’m not going to sit here and lie.”
