Former four-division champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (35-4-1, 24 KOs) is set to make his return to the ring as he will face Blair “The Flair” Cobbs (16-1-1, 10 KOs) on Friday June 7th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, live on Triller TV PPV. The event begins at 8 p.m. ET. The headliners are expected to step into the ring later in the night, around 11 p.m. ET.

Promoted by the legendary Don King, this event features two of the biggest trash talkers in the sport of boxing. Adrien Broner and Blair Cobbs have both experienced significant periods of inactivity, but a victory on Friday night will help the winner place his name back in the mix as it relates to certified contenders.

During the course of the first 27 fights of his pro career, Adrien Broner was a flashy undefeated fighter who won three titles in three different weight classes. On the night of December 14, 2013, Broner defended his WBA welterweight title against Marcos Maidana.

Maidana set the tone in the first round as he hit Broner multiple times with an awkward overhand right. Maidana went on to knock Broner down in the second and the eighth rounds, as he cruised to a unanimous decision victory.

Despite the loss, Adrien Broner was still a marquee name, but he was unable to win the big one. Broner lost to Shawn Porter, Mikey Garcia and Manny Pacquiao. After the January 2019 fight versus Pacquiao, Broner experienced inactivity and legal troubles.

Adrien Broner would finally return to the ring in February 2021 as he defeated Jovanie Santiago by way of unanimous decision. Two years later Broner defeated Bill Hutchinson. Now the 34-year-old Broner is about to face a very determined opponent.

Blair Cobbs started his pro boxing career with fifteen straight victories. In his 16th fight, Cobbs would face Alexis Rocha. Cobbs had some good moments in the fight, but unfortunately he was stopped in the ninth round.

Five months later in August 2022, Blair Cobbs bounced back in impressive fashion when he faced Maurice Hooker. Cobbs got off to a quick start as he landed a flurry of shots that sent Hooker down to the canvas in the opening round of the contest.

Hooker was able to get up, but Cobbs floored him twice in the second round. Cobbs was dominant throughout the contest, as he won by the scores of 97-90, 97-90, and 96-91.

In his upcoming welterweight showdown with Adrien Broner, Cobbs wants to take advantage of the opportunity. Cobbs has the chance to get a win against a well known opponent, and set himself up for future big fights.

Blair Cobbs is an athletic southpaw who has punching power, a good workrate, and exceptional lateral movement. Adrien Broner is a sharp puncher who displays good punch placement, but his main issue is the fact that at times he doesn’t let his hands go.

The 34-year-old Blair Cobbs is determined to make a name for himself at the expense of Adrien Broner. During the initial press conference, Cobbs introduced his Adrien Broner puppet as he did his ventriloquist act while Broner was at the podium addressing the media.

Adrien Broner is usually the man that does the trolling, but Cobbs took the lead in the trolling department with the AB puppet, references to Broner being fat, and abruptly walking in and interrupting Broner’s workout session.

Blair Cobbs is a fighter who is looking to seize the moment on the night of June 7th. Will Adrien Broner be able to turn back the hands of time and be Prime AB also known as the Can Man, or will Blair “The Flair’s” hunger and determination lead him to a signature win?
