In Saudi Arabia on Saturday night on the stacked Last Crescendo show, Adames said he was “ready to make a great fight.”
He also said he felt it was inevitable that he would meet Sheeraz sooner than later.
“Since before they even called me, I thought he was going to be my next victim,” said Adames. “And I feel like they feel like they think that they can beat me, they can’t.”
Sheeraz is a Riyuadh Season ambassador and hopes are high for his future. But Adames said: “I am the best current 160 [fighter]” and he closed his comments, when asked what he needed to do on Saturday night, by saying: “I only have to decapitate him.”
