British middleweight contender Felix Cash (16-0) returns from a long and drawn-out hiatus to finally regain his momentum, taking on EBU European Middleweight champion Tyler Denny (18-2-3).

Having taken a year out, and switching trainers from Tony Sims to Adam Booth, Cash will be eager to reassert himself amongst the current crop of British middleweights; an ever-shifting landscape as of recent.

However, despite the time out, Cash had two back-to-back impressive wins over Denzel Bentley (19-3-1) for his BBBofC British Middleweight and Commonwealth Boxing Council Middleweight titles and then Magomed Madiev (16-1-3) for the vacant WBC International Middleweight title.

The absence has not stalled his hunger or drive, although many pundits suggest that Cash, with a win over Denny, should set his sights on international competition.

However, Tyler Denny is quite the impressive operator himself. Having secured the BBBofC British Middleweight title in his fourth attempt, he has never looked back since, making methodical defences before moving onto the EBU External and European Middleweight belts. He is an example of hard-work and determination in its most exciting form.

This will be a raw, hungry British middleweight dust-up like the years of old.

Many of Eddie Hearn’s prospects look to further themselves on the card, hosted at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham.

Women’s super flyweight prospect Shannon Ryan (7-0) is set to take on Commonwealth Boxing Council Super Flyweight champion Emma Dolan (6-0), with the vacant BBBofC British Super Flyweight title also on the line.

Ryan comes off a decisively dominant win over Jasmina Zapotoczna (6-1) on the undercard of Dillon-Bellotti and this is a step-up she rightly needs to take at this point in her career. Dolan, meanwhile, will be looking to halt ‘Kaos’ and make a successful defence of her belt – and get another in her collection in the process.

Upsettingly, the long-overdue grudge-match between up-and-comers Cameron ‘The One’ Vuong (4-0) and Jordan Flynn (10-0-1) has once again been cancelled; this time via Flynn. Instead, Vuong takes on an opponent with much less needle in Jeff Ofori (13-7-2).

The Hackney man is hardly on the level of the successful amateur Vuong or his desired fighter Flynn, but will provide the rapidly progressing youngster with more experience, at the very least.

A British card like this can only benefit from an early-career rivalry such as the one between Vuong and Flynn, even if we have yet to see what both fighters can offer beyond this; hopefully third times the charm will ring true in bringing us this bout.

Elsewhere, Hamza Uddin (1-0), who made a sparkling impression with the British crowd on his professional debut, will be scrapping on the undercard. The 20 year old has put eyeballs on the super flyweight division, an undervalued one in western boxing circles and particularly in Britain.

In summation, the stacked-and-packed Matchroom card should grace Birmingham with some barn-burners and bust-ups on a national level, to the delight of viewers on DAZN, where it can be viewed, come June 22nd.
