Fans of swangin’ and/or bangin’ rejoice, as Dan Rafael reports that heavyweights Derek Chisora and Jarrell Miller are finalizing a February 8th showdown in Manchester.
Now 40 years old, Chisora (35-13, 23 KO) has spent the last decade or so oscillating between “worryingly shot” and “surprisingly resilient.” He’s currently in the latter stage after a phenomenal effort against Joe Joyce this past July saw him floor “The Juggernaut” in the ninth en route to a highly entertaining decision win.
Miller (26-1-1, 22 KO) likewise over-performed in his lone effort of 2024, battling an injured Andy Ruiz Jr to a draw in August. He’s not what he was when he had half his medicine cabinet flowing through his veins, but he’s a big dude with a solid workrate and seems to be putting in the effort to get into semi-decent shape after last year’s rough loss to Daniel Dubois.
