Cindy Ngmaba will fight Kirstie Bavington on her professional debut, it was announced today.
The fight will take place on the undercard of Natasha Jonas vs. Lauren Price on March 7 at Royal Albert Hall and should represent a considerable test for Ngamba.
Bavington, 9-5-2 (2), hails from Wolverhampton and has gone the 10-round distance plenty in her seven-year pro career. She has shared the ring with Lauren Price, Sandy Ryan, and Kandi Wyatt, and is also coming off a 10-round win over Marine Beauchamp in Laval, France, which delivered Bavington the European welterweight crown.
Ngamba, meanwhile, was born in Cameroon but fights out of Bolton, England, and she became the first-ever medalist for the Refugee Olympic Team when winning bronze in the women’s 75 kg boxing category at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
