Cordina was out-landing Cacace 22-20 through the first two rounds. In round three, Cordina relaxed after the referee told the fighters to break, but Cacace did not and seemed to stun Cordina with a blow to his head. Cacace poured it on and knocked Cordina down. From round three on, Cacace landed 116 power punches to Cordina’s 41. Cordina never fully recovered from the third round knock down because Cacace didn’t allow him to, landing 35 body punches in rounds three through eight.
