Junior welterweight Curmel Moton of Las Vegas took to social media to cryptically announce his next fight.
Moton added an image of the fight poster for David Benavidez-David Morrell with a caption of 7-0, implying he will return on the February 1 card at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Moton, 18, was going to fight Albert Pagara on December 30 on the undercard of Ryan Garcia-Rukiya Anpo, which was set to take place in Japan. Garcia-Anpo is no longer happening, because Garcia got injured.
Moton, a protege of Floyd Mayweather, is 6-0 (5 KOs). His post was a subtle hint that his next win would be coming.
Moton is on a three-fight knockout streak and fought four times in 2024. He last fought Hilario Martinez Moreno in October, and stopped him in one round.
Moton was on course to fight in November, but the fight was canceled officially the day before the scheduled fight date.
