The undefeated 18-year-old blue-chip prospect Curmel “Big Deal” Moton will participate in the opening main card bout of the Mayweather vs Gotti III pay-per-view event, as he’s set to face Victor Vazquez on Saturday night, August 24th, at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, live on DAZN PPV.

In his pro debut in September 2023, Curmel Moton was scheduled to fight Ezequiel Flores in the swing bout. After the undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez dominated Jermell Charlo in the pay-per-view main event, many fans remained in their seats to witness Moton’s debut.

In the opening round, Moton controlled the pace of the bout, and then he landed a left-hand shot that sent Flores down to the canvas. Flores was able to get up, and when the match continued, Moton landed a flurry of shots that forced the referee to step in and halt the contest.

Two months later, Curmel Moton was participating in the swing bout on the David Benavidez vs Demetrius Andrade PPV bill. Once again, Moton briefly entertained the fans by posting another first-round knockout victory.

On the non-televised portion of the Tim Tszyu vs. Sebastian Fundora card, Curmel Moton was involved in an action-packed fight, scoring a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Cuba. Four months later, Moton would post a second-round stoppage victory over Nikolai Buzolin.

As Curmel Moton continues to impress, his fanbase is increasing. They are demanding to see their fighter on the big stage, and Moton’s fans showed frustration when his fights weren’t televised.

On Saturday night, August 24th, Moton isn’t involved in a swing bout or a preliminary bout. He’s officially part of the opening match for the main card. Now, the blue-chip prospect can perform under the bright lights.

Curmel Moton (4-0, 3 KOs) is an extremely talented boxer with a high ring IQ. He has the jab, footwork, speed, power, and good punch placement. Most importantly, he’s been active, and as a result, both his fanbase and his portfolio continue to grow.

With the departures of star boxer Gervonta “Tank” Davis and former CEO Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather Promotions is experiencing a rebranding phase. Tonight on DAZN PPV, Curmel Moton will look to dominate and put on an impressive performance because he is the centerpiece of the relaunch of Mayweather Promotions.
