Eddie Hearn and Devin Haney don’t appear so chummy these days.

Promoter Eddie Hearn and former world champion Devin Haney have worked together quite a bit over the years, with Hearn helping to guide Haney’s career to major world title fights along the way, but the two don’t appear to be getting along so well now.

Haney posted on social media that he had asked for tickets to today’s Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois fight at Wembley Stadium and was turned down, with Hearn firing back publicly in defense of himself.

“Wow I’m (in) London (and) Eddie Hearn won’t give me tickets to the fight but keep(s) mentioning me every chance he get(s),” Haney wrote, before calling Hearn “fake.”

“You asked me at 6 am this morning,” Hearn replied. “First I look after my fighters. Ask someone else and drop the arrogance.”

Haney hasn’t fought since a controversial and later overturned loss to Ryan Garcia in April — it is now officially a no-contest on the records — and his behavior since then has been questioned by many, including advertising that he’s taking a year off from boxing, which would also line up with Garcia’s one-year suspension for failing a drug test.

Haney turns 26 in November and certainly will fight again, but at the moment it doesn’t seem all that likely that he’ll fight under the Matchroom banner again, although that could very much be an “at the moment” thing, as greater beefs than this get squashed in boxing all the time for the sake of making money.
