Heavyweight sluggers Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen are reportedly planning to run back their controversial December clash in two months
Certified Tough Lads ™ Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen are gearing up to run back last December’s controversial slobberknocker, as Yahoo! Sports’ Darshan Desai reports that they’ll headline a May 17th Matchroom show at London’s Copper Box Arena.
An official press conference is scheduled for tomorrow.
The younger Fisher (13-0, 11 KO) entered their Riyadh Season showdown as a considerable favorite, bolstered by both his 36-second mauling of Alen Babic in July and Allen’s (23-7-2, 18 KO) string of underwhelming performances. Though “The Romford Bull” got off to a hot start, he quickly ran out of steam en route to suffering a fifth-round knockdown and struggling through the subsequent war of attrition. Allen appeared to have outlasted him, but walked away with a highly questionable split decision loss.
