You can count Hector Luis “Androide” Garcia (16-2, 10 KOs) amongst those who will be watching Saturday night’s Gervonta “Tank” Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) versus Frank “The Ghost” Martin (18-0, 12 KOs) Premier Boxing Champions lightweight pay-per-show down. The clash takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Garcia is very familiar with Davis, having been stopped by him in nine rounds in their January 2023 clash in Washington DC. The fight was very competitive prior to the stoppage.
“We can’t take anything away from Martin. He is a very good fighter. Having said that, I expect Tank to win by knockout. I think that his speed and power will be too much for Martin,” Garcia told BoxingScene.com.
Davis last fought in April, 2023 when he stopped Ryan Garcia in seven rounds in the biggest boxing pay-per-view event of 2023.
After having fought three times in 2022, Martin only fought once in 2023 when he defeated Artem Harutyunyan via unanimous decision at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The biggest win of Martin’s career took place in December 2022 when he won a unanimous decision over the then unbeaten Michel Rivera at the same venue.
Garcia last fought in November when he dropped a razor close decision to Lamont Roach. He hopes to return to the ring in the near future.
