Hamzah Sheeraz told IBF and WBO middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly that he’ll fight him in a unification after he dethrones WBC champ Carlos Adames on February 22nd.
Sheeraz (21-0, 17 KOs) is facing Adames (24-1, 18 KOs) on Turki Alalshikh’s massive card on February 22nd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. If Sheeraz wins that fight, there will be a lot of interest in a clash between him and Janibek (16-0, 11 KOs), who is seen as the King of the 160-lb division by many fans.
Sheeraz Eyes Janibek
Janibek has been ignored by the top fighters in the division, who have shown no interest in facing him, even though he holds two titles. His popularity isn’t high enough to lure the top names in the mostly barren division to fight him. He’s dangerous and has technical skills that are on a different level from most of the fighters.
“Shake my hands. I’ll get my business done against Carlos Adames, and we’ll make it happen and unify. As simple as that,” said Hamzah Sheeraz to the media, telling IBF and WBO middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly that he’ll fight him once he captures the WBC 160-lb belt from champion Carlos Adames on February 22nd. “With his manager [Egis Klimas] as well.”
