Former title challenger Hughie Fury will face Patrick Korte in a heavyweight matchup on the undercard of Jessica McCaskill’s welterweight title defense against Lauren Price on May 11 at the Utilita Arena Cardiff in Cardiff, Wales.

Fury (27-3, 15 KOs), seeking to ramp up his activity after an extended period out the ring, returned to action last month with a points win over Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko. Having previously mixed at world level, Fury, 29, is aiming to get back into title contention against Germany’s Korte (21-3-1, 18 KOs) in the Welsh capital.

Price, the first Welsh boxer to win Olympic gold, will attempt to make more history by becoming the country’s first female world champion. A win over McCaskill would capture Price the WBA, IBO and Ring Magazine world titles.

Also on the May 11 undercard, light heavyweight Lewis Edmondson will meet British rival Joel McIntyre. Edmondson (8-0, 3 KOs), who most recently claimed a points win over Dmytro Fedas in December, and hopes to build on his unbeaten record against McIntyre as he targets a fight with fast-rising star Ben Whittaker.

McIntrye (20-8, 5 KOs), a former two-time English champion who has fought many of the top names on the domestic scene, will provide an acid test for Edmondson that can determine whether he is ready to step up in levels.

Additionally, featherweight Rhys Edwards (15-0, 4 KOs) will face former British champion and current contender Thomas Patrick Ward (34-1-1, 5 KOs). Super middleweight Kyran Jones (9-0, 1 KO) will take on fellow Welshman Lewis Howell (3-0), and Cardiff junior lightweight Kane Shepherd (4-0, 1 KO) is set to meet Ishmael Ellis (14-8).

Also appearing on the bill will be English super middleweight titleholder Mark Jeffers (17-0, 4 KOs) and Swansea heavyweight hope Moses Jolly (8-0, 6 KOs), who will continue his quest to become Wales’ first world heavyweight champion.
