After dispatching his last three foes in under two rounds apiece, fast-rising super middleweight prospect Osleys Iglesias will meet fellow ranked unbeaten Petro Ivanov atop a November 7th Eye of the Tiger Management show in Montreal.
The Cuban-born, Germany-based Iglesias (12-0, 11 KO) has been on the warpath this year, dispatching credible foes Marcelo Coceres, Evgeny Shvedenko, and Sena Agbeko in the span of six months. He passes the eye test about as well as anyone in the sport and figures to be among the most prominent figures in the upcoming post-Canelo era at 168.
Ukraine’s Ivanov (18-0-2, 13 KO), himself a expat based in Baden-Württemberg, enters the ring in the midst of a six-fight knockout streak. His body of work compares unfavorably to Iglesias’, but he’s only two spots behind “El Tornado” in the IBF’s top 15.
The rest of the card sees local super featherweight Leila Beaudoin (12-1, 1 KO) meet 44-year-old former titlist Edith Soledad Matthysse (19-16-1, 2 KO) and fragile gunslinger Steven Butler (35-4-1, 28 KO) face the similarly overcooked Diego Gabriel Chaves (30-10-1, 24 KO).
